We’re recruiting on behalf of a friendly, well-established mixed dental practice in North Leeds (you’ll be seeing private patients only) for a confident Locum Dental Hygienist to provide maternity leave cover. You’ll be taking over an established patient list in a fully equipped setting with a supportive team.

What’s on offer

• £30 - £45 per hour (depending on experience)
• Flexible working pattern (choose your 2 days, Mon–Thu)
• Established private list with a consistent flow of patients
• Supportive environment in a modern, well-equipped practice

The role

• Locum maternity cover: 22 June 2026 – 31 December 2026
• 2 days per week - flexible on which days
• Working days available: Monday–Thursday
• Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (with 1 hour lunch)
• Diary: approx. 20 patients per day
• Appointment times: 20–30 minutes for routine patients
  Perio patients: 40 minutes (often booked as 2 appointments)
• Patient base: private patients only
• Facilities: 5 surgeries and all equipment provided

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver high-quality hygiene care and periodontal support
• Provide prevention-led patient education and tailored oral hygiene plans
• Manage a busy, well-structured diary confidently
• Maintain excellent clinical records and compliance

Who they’re looking for

• GDC registered Dental Hygienist (Therapists welcome if working in a hygiene capacity)
• Minimum 3 years experience 
• Outgoing, bubbly, and personable - strong chairside manner is essential
• A genuine team player with a professional, reliable approach
• Full working rights (sponsorship not available)
